It’s almost time to spread my wings and fly to Oakland, California for Arabic school! For the next few days, I’ll be cramming for Saturday morning’s placement test. The stakes are high: I need to place into level 3 in order to receive credit for the summer. Also, only level 3 students and higher are allowed to take formal dialect classes, so if I want a head-start on learning darija (the dialect of Arabic spoken in Morocco), I need to place into level 3… NBD #pray4toni2k16
Meanwhile, here in Florida, we’re bracing for Tropical Storm Colin. My house has gotten very little rain, but if you drive 15 minutes towards the next town, the roads are completely flooded #bipolarFlorida. I’ll be running around, doing some last minute studying, and trying to stay dry these next few days.
